I'm a Messenger

Sharing the Gospel Through Word and Deed

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." — Matthew 28:19

Messenger (noun)

One who carries and delivers a message. As Christians, we are messengers of the Gospel - called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world through our words, actions, and way of life.

The Call to Be a Messenger

The Great Commission

Jesus didn't just call us to believe in Him - He called us to share Him with others. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 is our marching orders as Christians.

As motorcycle riders, we have unique opportunities to reach people who might never step foot in a church. Our bikes are conversation starters, our brotherhood is a witness, and our lifestyle can point others to Christ.

Love in Action

Being a messenger isn't just about talking - it's about living. Our actions often speak louder than our words. When we help a stranded rider, when we show respect to others, when we live with integrity, we're being messengers of Christ's love.

People will know we are Christians by our love, not just by our words. Our motorcycles give us access to communities and people that traditional ministry might never reach.

Building Relationships

Effective messengers build genuine relationships. We don't just preach at people - we get to know them, we care about them, we invest in their lives.

The motorcycle community is built on relationships and trust. When we earn someone's respect as a rider, we earn the right to share our faith with them. It's about being authentic and real.

Knowing the Message

To be an effective messenger, we need to know the message. That means studying the Bible, understanding the Gospel, and being able to explain our faith clearly and simply.

We don't need to be theologians, but we should be able to share what Jesus means to us and how He's changed our lives. Personal testimony is one of the most powerful tools we have.

Prayer and Dependence

Being a messenger requires God's power, not our own. We need to pray for opportunities, for the right words, and for the Holy Spirit to work in people's hearts.

Every ride can be a mission trip. Every conversation can be a divine appointment. We need to be sensitive to God's leading and ready to share when He opens doors.

Respect and Humility

We share the Gospel with respect and humility, not arrogance or judgment. We're not better than anyone - we're just people who've found hope and want to share it.

In the motorcycle world, respect is everything. We earn the right to be heard by how we live, how we treat others, and how we handle ourselves. Our witness depends on our character.

Biblical Principles for Messengers

As messengers of Christ, we're called to follow biblical principles in how we share the Gospel and live our lives. These aren't just rules - they're guidelines for effective ministry and authentic witness.

1. Love Your Neighbor

"Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). This means genuinely caring about the people around us, whether they're fellow riders, strangers on the road, or people in our communities.

2. Be Ready Always

"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15). We should be ready to share our faith when opportunities arise.

3. Live Above Reproach

"In everything set them an example by doing what is good" (Titus 2:7). Our lifestyle should reflect our faith and not give anyone reason to question our integrity.

4. Speak Truth in Love

"Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ" (Ephesians 4:15). We share truth with compassion, not condemnation.

5. Serve Others

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45). We follow Jesus' example of servant leadership.

6. Trust God's Timing

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). We trust God to open doors and create opportunities in His perfect timing.

Practical Ways to Be a Messenger

On the Road

Every ride is an opportunity to be a witness. How we ride, how we treat other riders, how we handle ourselves in traffic - all of these things speak volumes about our character.

  • Help stranded riders
  • Show respect to all road users
  • Ride responsibly and safely
  • Be courteous and patient

In the Community

Get involved in your local community. Volunteer, participate in charity rides, help with community events. Let people see Christians in action, not just in church.

  • Participate in charity rides
  • Volunteer for community events
  • Support local causes
  • Be a positive presence

In Conversations

Be ready to share your faith when natural opportunities arise. Don't force it, but don't hide it either. Let your life and your words point to Jesus.

  • Share your testimony naturally
  • Ask about others' spiritual journey
  • Invite people to church or events
  • Pray for people when appropriate
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16
